This week, I’ve been working my butt off, literally. It is killing me right now. But in a good way. In the way you want to stretch out long and say, “oooh, that feels soo good!” Not “ouch, I can’t walk” kind of way. That’s never a good idea. Yikes!
I know I haven’t been keeping up with my fitness log, and you are probably wondering if I really am…so I’m here to let you know what I’ve done this week…ok?
Week in Review Fitness Training
Monday: As Jeff Galloway suggests, I did thirty minutes on the treadmill. Run-Walk-Run style. And I did some Wii Fitness action. Yes, you can really get a burn off that game! We did it as our family night and everyone had a ball!
Tuesday: I have no recollection of the day. Nope. Don’t know what happened there??
Wednesday: Did an amazing yoga class. I must admit, I’m pretty darn flexible and this one had me trying my best to keep up! It wasn’t traditional at all. But I loved it!
Thursday: Went to a kickboxing class. Yes, I’m feeling special. My hubby covered me two days in a row. That’s like a gift in its own! We did some great glute exercises as well as abs. Let’s just say my gluteus maximus is tight…well, not really but it sure does hurt!
Muffin top be gone!
Friday: Run, run as fast as you can! You can’t catch me, I’m the gingerbread man! Okay…obviously, I’m a mama. That book always gets stuck in my head. It wasn’t impressive but I’m not even trying to “impress” yet. More or less still trying to figure out my rhythm with the treadmill.
Here’s my start:
Hello.
And here’s my finish:
That says I ran (using the run-walk-run method) 2.17 miles in 35 minutes. Just to be correct, that was ten minutes of warm up and cool down time as well. But whose counting?
Things that I love this week:
Salads for lunch. This one had some of my very favorite things: Feta cheese (any cheese really), spinach, grapes and chickpeas. Dressing: Olive oil and balsamic. ATE THE WHOLE THING.
My new slippers. Because being a stay-at-home mom has some perks. Like wearing comfy shoes.
MBB Reviews:
MooMotion, sweet fashion-forward style sports gear
and yummy Vegan and even some Gluten Free cookies from Nana’s Cookie Company
And finally, being a Mama. Here was some more fun…
I surprised the kids by taking them to the B&O Ellicott City Station and to make it even better, we had lunch with daddy.
As you may know, the count down is on…May 31st, 2014, I’m running my very first 10k!
