I can’t describe to you enough, how much I enjoy throwing a party. I love it. When my girlfriend told me about House Party, I applied to be a host for the Mega Bloks party and I was excited to find out I selected!
So what is House Party? House Party partners with product companies and then makes an announcement that they are looking for people to host a specific party. At this particular time, they were looking for Mega Bloks hosts. You can then apply to be considered as a host but they are only looking for so many, so you may or may not actually get to be a host. If you are one of the luckies, you then invite your friends to your party! House Party sends you an amazing party pack and you let the party begin!
Here are our party adventures!
To make our party space pop, I decorated! We hung up beautiful, bold colors to represent the colors for Mega Bloks.
I used red, yellow, blue and some green throughout the room.
I also added a Blok Party construction sign to lead the kids to the room…
Decorations don’t have to be expensive, just a little paper and creativity can make any scene!
I even printed out House Party’s decorations as well…
I also had a Mega Bloks banner going up the staircase but it didn’t photo too well on an angel. I thought it was really neat that House Party already had the decorations for me. All I had to do was print!
I also set up the room in building blok stations. This way, the kids weren’t all in one area, but able to play with a variety of bloks in different place.
This station was pink for the girl bloks. I also printed out the instructions to make fun animals with the bloks as well!
Our next station was the coloring table…
The kids (and mom’s) loved this station!
I also had a station with lego bloks and a first builders station with boy bloks.
Our main table was on the side wall and included the star of the show, Mr. Billy Beats!
This was also our award ceremony. 🙂 Each child received an award for either Best Builder or Best Dancer! Before leaving, they grabbed a party favor as well!
Now, what would a party be without some party food, right? Have you ever had Mega Bloks party food? It’s delicious!
On the menu: Mega Bloks Cupcakes – blue, green and red!
There was also pretzels dipped in white chocolate then coated with sprinkles! They did not last long! And of course, fruit kabobs and a veggie platter. Yum!!!!
With the decorations and food in place, we were ready to party! The kids were waiting all day for their friends to arrive!
They went around the room and checked out each station at first:
Here are the Pink (80 piece) building bag.
And the Classic (80 piece) Building Bag.
They built,
and sang,
and played,
until they were all tuckered out.
Thank you, Party House and Mega Bloks for letting me host a fabulous blok party!
I will definitely be applying for host again soon!
I think this is a fabulous idea… Children are able to interact with their peers while having fun and learning all the while!! I would love to host a party!!
I believe it’s November 21st when they are asking for new hosts – I’ll post on Facebook for a reminder!
