Twas the night before Halloween and all thru the mist,
creatures were stirring and making their list.
Okay, so I’m not a poet (and I know it) but work with me.
It’s almost Halloween and we are starting our Halloween crafts this week!
Our first craft is a uhm, uh… What started off as a pumpkin face grew and grew into something that brought us a lot of laughs, smiles and fun!
Supplies:
- Two paper plates
- Orange paint for face
- Face cutouts (used black construction paper)
- Glue
- Stickers, beads, decorations, eyes
First, paint a paper plate orange for the pumpkin.
Miss 2 loves to paint, it’s so relaxing.
Next, wait for it to dry. I know, the hard part, but it’s only a few minutes!
We then made our pumpkin plates come alive. I cut out lots of different facial shapes that they could choose from.
The kids even added stickers to their pumpkin faces!
Right about here, I was going to end the project and hang up their pumpkins but Mr 4 wanted to play music and that inspired another idea to this Mama’s head. Pumpkin Tambourines!
Supplies Needed:
- 2 more plates for the back
- Beans or anything to make noise
- Tape
Place the beans on a plate and put the pumpkin plate on top. Tape it all around. Done.
You can shake it for a tambourine or it makes a great frisbee! Either way, this “Best Flying Pumpkin Shaker Thing” ever. Mr 4 and Miss 2 approve!
What an adorable craft idea! Will have to share this with some of the elementary teachers!
Thanks Barb!
