Shewie! So glad I’m over yesterday’s pity-party. (click here for whoa-is-me story). Wow, that was a good one. After I complained and cried in a bowl of ice cream (I didn’t but that sounds delicious), I tried on my new clothes and would you know, they rock! Thank you Under Armour for a fabulous shirt and shorts! (Big sigh of relief…)
Then I grabbed my favorite band!
(Crap. I can’t take good pictures of myself apparently…)
I have yet, another confession. I’ve been wanting a sporty headband for an incredibly long time. When I went to my mailbox last week, I found these babies inside…
The styles rock!
BIC Bands started off with an incredible women, Sandy, who made these fabulous bands to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Since they were such a big hit, she sewed the bands together for the following few years. They are now made by a team of local women in Southern California. (That is quite amazing!!!)
The BIC Bands are such a great hit because they really don’t slip. Really.
I have worn them for a week solid and they are no longer used for just running but as an everyday accessory. I even forget that I’m wearing one because they are so light and very comfortable. There are many, many different styles and even accessories to add to your band! (Yes, I said accessorize your band!)
There are five different types of bands:
Minnie Band
Skinny Band
Thin Bands
Thick Bands
Sparkle Bands
I think the biggest question is what band you prefer to show off or should I say, matches your outfit. BIC Bands offers different styles such as solid, holiday, sporty, sparkle, print…you name it!
Even accessories for your band are available. (I want one of these babies!)
Prices vary from $5.00 (flower accessory) to $13.00.
I think what has me over the moon (besides their awesome generosity in giving back) is that you can wash your band too! Imagine sweating and stinking and walking into the shower to cool down with your BIC band still on! Just hang it up to dry. Love it!
You can purchase these cute bands online or at a retail store. Here’s a list of where they are sold.
But while you are right there, why not enter this cool giveaway ? That’s right. BIC Bands gave MBB readers two bands to giveaway! Sorry, only open to US residence.
QUESTION: Are you a print or solid kind of gal?
I would be a solid girl with an everyday outfit but a patterened girl with my gym attire!
I like the solid bands…with sparkle!
How exciting to find some adorable running accessories! Hoping I can don this on my next set of miles!
hard to decide, i prefer printed bands but solid bands will go well with any outfit!
