I have to be honest, I don’t know where to begin. I seem to be in a whirl wind the last 48 hours but a good one at that.
I was selected to review a new product on the market for our local TV news station. Yup, re-read that sentence, that rocks!
If I ever had a dream of dreams, it would be to have my own television show. Believe me, I get it, a lot of people have that dream but so do I. When I was in Elementary school, I was on the news for the new school playground. I had a short little segment and I loved it. In middle school, I was on TV as a fan at an Oriole’s baseball game. I even took Mass Communication in middle school and they had their own station. Two years ago, I was LIVE on the news for Oprah’s farewell show. Another local station, WJZ13, filmed at my house for Oprah’s last show. I made some shirts, we drank some wine and said our goodbyes to a “lifelong friend.”
Then today, I was taped to review a product on TV! Seriously. One of my favorite things to do – review!
I’m not sure why but I have always felt very comfortable speaking publicly and I love every minute of it. Long story short, when the segment airs next week, I’ll be sure to share! Let’s back up….
Since the news station was coming the next day, I had to get ready. I mean, who wants to have their table cloth blend in with their dress? I know, I have problems. Please you don’t have to share that with me. So, I went shopping as fast as I could with such little time that I had. I found a new dress and a different tablecloth which meant SUCCESS!
I looked at my half-marathon chart and saw I had to exercise 30 minutes, XT. AAARHHH! I was contemplating the game in my head, “Do I clean or do I work out?” Needless to say, I worked out that night AND I got up extra early to dust my spice rack. (Please, keep comments quiet about my quirks! Who wants to see dust on spice bottles that haven’t been opened? Not I!)
While I was out shopping, I managed to snag a new pair of running pants with the intention to save them for my first half-marathon day. I’m not sure what universe I thought I needed these adorable blue and gray polka-dotted running pants for $70 but apparently I did. As my husband gave me the “unbelievable” head shake, I tried them on. Thankfully I didn’t fall in love with them and realized I really did spend $70 on running pants, so they will be returned. (Perhaps if I was a professional, I would reconsider!)
I’m so happy I can laugh at myself…again and again…
The new Under Armour shirt however will not be returned. I love how light and free I feel! For only $25, it was worth every penny folks.
No need to judge my late night, lack of brushing hair or make up, strange look either. I said it for you 😉
Excited in my new clothes, I turned on my Ten Minute Kickboxing Solutions DVD and worked it! My abs are still feeling the burn today! And in some crazy way, I like that feeling.
Hi! I’ve been reading your blog for some time now and finally got the bravery to go ahead and give you a shout out from Austin Texas! Just wanted to mention keep up the great job!
