Any time I find a gem in town, I always can’t wait to give you the details! A few weeks ago, I was at the Bel Air Famer’s Market (Maryland) and they featured Open Door Cafe as the restaurant of the week, so I had to see what it was all about.
I have to admit, we stayed almost two hours the first time we were there! (…and 1.5 hours the next!)
Yes, it was that awesome!
You can come in and grab a quick coffee…
or sit down for breakfast (served until 3pm daily), lunch or dinner!
Our family is BIG on breakfast. We love it.
Now, I’m not talking no rinky dink small eggs and potatoes smashed on a plate kind of restaurant, I’m talking GOOD-EATS here people!
Father’s day was the first time we came here and I have to admit, I was a little disappointed. They were sold out of their homemade granola 🙁 But….not this time!
It reminded me of the kind I made weekly at my house. Darn delicious!
But, even better when paired with yogurt and fruit! An all time favorite!
My daughter and I gobbled it up before I remembered to take a picture, so I grabbed my husband’s before he took another bite!
If you don’t come for the granola parfiets (which you are completely missing out on) be sure to try their breakfast specials! I had a California omelet with side of green salad …. man, it was good! (That means there was avocado inside that baby…mmm mm mmm!)
Hubby choose to make his own creation omelet with three eggs, a side of potatoes and toast. One of his favorites!
And my children asked for their “chocolate pancakes” or pancakes with chocolate chips inside. Seriously. Who doesn’t like chocolate???
You may not notice this great find from the outside. It’s located in a strip of stores…but once you step inside, you are transformed into a relaxing, laid-back ambiance. Even the walls are beautifully painted.
Bonus, come by on Friday, Saturday or Sunday and a pianist will be there! (And probably me too!)
No matter if you come in for a quick cup of coffee…
or stay for a meal, be sure you will be taken care of. This is one of my favorite local finds!

Be sure to check out their EVENTS calendar as well…
I’m telling you, Open Door Cafe is the place to be!
PS All opinions are mine. I was in no way compensated to tell you about this deliciousness 😉
